Center for International Patients
Medical tourism has gained prominence in Türkiye in recent years, with a steady rise in the number of foreign patients opting for medical packages that integrate treatment with holiday and transportation. High treatment costs and lengthy waiting lists in certain foreign countries have driven individuals to seek destinations where they can access high-quality treatment alongside leisure activities.
Main reasons for choosing Türkiye for treatment include:
- High-quality services
- Lower prices compared to the patient’s home country
- Well-recognized physicians
- Advanced medical technology
- Türkiye's reputation as a tourist destination
Group Florence Nightingale has led the healthcare industry in the region since 1989, establishing “Centers of Excellence” across its four hospitals and two medical centers. Each center is renowned for its expert treatment, surgery, and diagnostic capabilities, garnering recognition not only in Türkiye but throughout the region.
Aligned with the principle of “Committed to Excellence,” the Center for International Patients (CIP) at GFN serves patients globally, including regions such as the Middle East & Gulf, North Africa, Central Asia and Caucasians, Balkans, and Eastern Europe.
Starting from the initial inquiry, the CIP members plan and provide physician reviews of medical records, contact patients and/or relatives for further procedures, arrange their transfer in Türkiye, and details of hospital stay at the Group Florence Nightingale Hospitals.
Patient care and safety are paramount to the Group, which is why we continuously pursue accreditation from the Joint Commission International (JCI). JCI is an American-based international non-profit organization that evaluates and accredits healthcare institutions. It is widely regarded as the global ‘Gold Seal’ in patient care and safety.

All physicians at Group Florence Nightingale are fully licensed by the Turkish Medical Council to practice their specialty in Türkiye. Additionally, many hold Board Certification in their specialty in the US, Australia, or Europe.
Our credentialing process involves a formal review of each doctor’s qualifications and track record by the Credentials and Bylaws Committee and the Hospital’s Medical Executive Committee. This review occurs before a doctor is appointed to the medical staff by the Hospital’s Board of Governors and is revisited every three years thereafter.
You can find a summary of each physician’s qualifications on our website. If you would like to review the qualifications or specific experience of your physician in more detail upon your arrival, we can arrange for you to do so. [email protected]
