The “Cord Blood Bank, Cell and Tissue Application and Research Center”, which has many firsts, provides services within the Florence Nightingale Hospitals Group. In FlorenCell, cells and tissues are processed together and stored in the bank. This center has the distinction of being a “Hybrid Cell and Tissue Center”, which is one of the few in the world. This center, where living or cadaver-sourced cells and tissues come, are processed and stored ready for use, serves almost like a spare parts production factory.

FlorenCell Laboratories; In accordance with the Cord Blood Banking Regulation, the regulation on the quality and safety of centers related to Human Tissue and Cells, the Communiqué on the Licensing of Human Tissue and Cell Products and Centers Carrying Out the Production, Import, Export, Storage and Distribution Activities of these products; considering the structuring and working methods of advanced centers working on the subject in America and Europe, and based on the experience and knowledge of the center, operates under Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) in a total area of 350 m².

The Cord Blood Bank, Cell and Tissue Application and Research Center has been planned in accordance with cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) and cGTP (Current Good Tissue Practice) quality management systems and is the first cell and tissue processing and storage center in our country with up-to-date quality management systems and physical and hardware infrastructure in this field.
Thanks to the job titles and quality systems it has, it also serves as a "Hybrid Cell Tissue Center", one of the few in the world, as it will process and/or bank cells and tissues together.

EATB (European Association of Tissue Banks)
Our center is a member of the European Tissue Banks Association, which includes all European tissue banks. Being a member of EATB or AATB is a requirement set by the Ministry of Health for centers that will operate tissue banking in Turkey.
Activity Permit Certificate
This document shows that we have successfully completed the inspections by the Turkish Ministry of Health, Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency and received permission for the production of 22 different cell and tissue products.
Central Responsible Document
Document showing that Prof. Dr. Utku Ateş is the person in charge of our center, following the inspections we have undergone by the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency of the Turkish Ministry of Health.
Cord Blood Bank Operation Approval
This document, issued by the General Directorate of Health Services of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey, expresses our permission to carry out cord blood banking activities by successfully completing the inspections carried out by the Provincial Health Directorate.
GMP Certificate
This certificate shows that our center fully meets current GMP (Good manufacturing practices) standards as a result of inspections carried out by the Turkish Ministry of Health, Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency, and that there is a list of biological products that can be produced in this GMP center.
ISBT 128
ISBT 128 institution is a coding system that provides international recognition and traceability of cell and tissue products. Our center produces internationally identifiable/acceptable products by coding the products it produces with this international code system standards with the number T0112.
